Terms of Service

Welcome to Super Bracket Builder ("the Service," "we," "us," "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You may cancel anytime from the Billing page; access continues until the end of the current billing period. We may change pricing with at least 14 days' notice to active subscribers.

Free Unlimited Access is granted at our sole discretion and may be revoked at any time.

4. Stripe Connect & Cash Tournaments

Tournament directors who collect entry fees through the Service do so via Stripe Connect. You are the merchant of record for your own tournaments, responsible for refunds, disputes, chargebacks, tax reporting, and compliance with applicable laws. We take a platform fee as disclosed during checkout.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit (rosters, tournament results, media, messages). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and process that content solely to operate and improve the Service.

You are responsible for the accuracy of tournament results, rankings, player data, and communications you send through the Service.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, design, trademarks, and content supplied by us, is owned by Super Bracket Builder and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without written permission.

7. Communications

By creating an account, you agree to receive transactional emails and push notifications related to the Service. Tournament directors may send emails and notifications to members of their organization through the Service; those communications are sent on their behalf, not ours, and you may opt out through your account or by contacting the organization directly.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any reason upon reasonable notice. You may delete your account at any time from your profile page. Some data (e.g., completed tournament results, match history) may be retained to preserve other users' stats.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SUPER BRACKET BUILDER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your content, your tournaments, or your violation of these Terms or any third-party right.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
