Super Bracket Builder ("the Service," "we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

When you create a director or athlete account, we collect your name, email address, and, optionally, phone number and profile photo.

Tournament data

Directors provide tournament details (venues, formats, rosters, scores, standings, placements, awards). Athletes may submit registrations, scores, photos, and messages.

Payments

Subscription and tournament entry-fee payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full payment card information on our servers. We receive limited metadata (status, last 4 digits, brand, customer ID) from Stripe.

Device & usage

We collect device identifiers (for push notifications), IP address, browser type, and interaction logs to operate and improve the Service.

2. How We Use Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
• To process payments and subscriptions;
• To send transactional emails and push notifications;
• To enable tournament directors to communicate with their organization's members;
• To detect fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms;
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Information

We share information with:

• Tournament directors of organizations you join — your name, contact info, tournament history, and stats are visible to TDs who run events you participate in.
• Other users — standings, rankings, match history, and profile info marked public may be visible to other users and on public tournament pages.
• Service providers — Firebase (hosting, database, auth), Stripe (payments), SendGrid/email providers, push notification services, and analytics providers that process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
• Legal authorities — when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or property.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Your Choices

• You can update or delete your account from your profile page at any time.
• You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in each email.
• You can disable push notifications in your device settings.
• You may request export or deletion of your data by emailing us.

5. Data Retention

We retain account and tournament data for as long as your account is active. After deletion, some records (e.g., completed tournament results, match history) may be preserved in aggregated or anonymized form to protect other users' stats and ranking integrity.

6. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without parental consent, contact us and we will delete the data.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards (TLS, encrypted storage at Google Cloud, role-based access) to protect your data. No system is 100% secure; you are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe.

8. International Users

The Service is operated from the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to the U.S. and to processing under U.S. law.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
