A. Split Bracket Formats

Double and triple elimination let you set a different Best-of for each side of the bracket. Common pattern: longer matches on the winners bracket, shorter on losers so the bracket doesn't drag.

⚙️ Set per-side Best-of

  1. Pick a format that supports it: Double Elim or Triple Elim.
  2. On Tournament Setup, you'll see Winners Bracket Format buttons: Single Game / Best of 3 / 5 / 7.
  3. Below that, Losers Bracket Format appears with the same buttons.
  4. For triple elim, a third row appears: Super Losers Bracket Format.
  5. Mid-tournament: the same controls live inside ⚙️ Settings — change them anytime.
Tip: Bo5 winners / Bo3 losers / Bo1 super losers is a popular triple-elim pattern — meaningful sample size on the winners side and fast-paced clean-up on the lower brackets.

B. Cash Tournaments

Toggle the cash tournament option, set an entry fee, and (optionally) pass platform/processing fees to players. Winnings roll into each player's career totals automatically.

💵 Set up a cash tournament

  1. On Tournament Setup, check the 💰 Cash Tournament toggle.
  2. Helper text confirms: "Track entry fees, payouts, and payment status".
  3. The Entry Fee ($) field appears (number input, max 999, step 5, min 0). Set your buy-in.
  4. (Optional) Check 💸 Pass 3% platform fee to players.
  5. (Optional) Check 💳 Pass 3% processing fee to players.
  6. Continue with the rest of setup as normal.

C. Tiers & Majors

Every tournament gets a tier label that determines how it weights in stats and rankings. Filter the leaderboard by tier to spotlight major-event performance.

📋 Pick a tier

  1. On Tournament Setup, find the required Tier dropdown.
  2. Pick one: Weekly, State, Regional, National, or Major.
  3. The tier appears on the tournament card, complete screen, and stats history.

How tier filtering works downstream

Tip: Tier choice is mostly editorial — pick what makes sense for your league. "Weekly" for the regular night, "Major" for the year-end championship.

D. Doubles Support

Switch any tournament into a two-player team format. Players pair up at registration; team standings, team stats, and team awards are all handled natively.

👫 Run a doubles tournament

  1. On Tournament Setup, check the 🤝 Doubles Tournament toggle.
  2. Helper text confirms: "Teams of 2 compete instead of individual players".
  3. Note: toggling this clears any players already added — set it before registration.
  4. In Step 2 (Registration), add teams. For scheduled tournaments, players self-pair through the 🤝 Doubles Registration section of the public join page.
  5. Standings display each team as "Member1 + Member2".
